PARISH VISION STATEMENT
In the Kent Estuary Catholic Churches, we aim:
to be a welcoming family of faith
to lead people to Jesus
to help them to experience God's love
All in the power of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit makes a vital difference:
Without the Holy Spirit
God is far away
Welcome to the Catholic Parishes of Grange-over-Sands, Milnthorpe, and Arnside.
Our Church communities at Arnside, Milnthorpe, and Grange-over-Sands warmly welcome you to our area of outstanding and varied natural beauty. This area, surrounding the estuary of the River Kent, is a gentle and charming introduction to the more rugged hills of the central Lake District. We have the beautiful village of Arnside, with coastal walks along the limestone cliffs and through the beech woods; we have the ancient market town of Milnthorpe, which is a great centre for exploring the whole area including the Lakes. Finally, we have the genteel and very pleasant holiday town of Grange. It is also near the Cartmel peninsula, with the charming village of Cartmel, famous for its ancient Priory, Cartmel races, and Holker Hall which is nearby. You will receive a warm welcome from our three church communities so do please visit us.
We hope you have a very happy visit to this area of which we are so proud.
